Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
America’s favourite cookie recipe is for the good old Chocolate Chip cookie. There are many recipes and the variations are too numerous to mention, and everyone has their own favourite version of the choc chip cookie.
The chocolate chip cookie recipe we are sharing with you today is very versatile so you can change it to suit your own needs. For example:
- Try replacing the usual walnuts in the recipe with any of the following nuts, almonds, macadamias, Brazil nuts, or even peanuts.
- You could also experiment with using different flavoured chocolate drops/chips such as vanilla, butterscotch or even whiskey.
- Adding your favourite dried fruits, like raisins, cranberries, or even mango pieces.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
2 sticks butter, 3/4 cup soft brown sugar, 3/4 cup white sugar, 2 large eggs, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt, 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 2 cups your favourite choc chips, 1 cup chopped nuts.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add the vanilla, and the eggs one at a time. Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts by hand.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. You now have the perfect chocolate chip cookie
